Hosted by Josh X Gittleman. Ease into the weekend with live Americana, folk, and roots-inspired music. Grab a drink, enjoy the tunes, and settle in for an afternoon of laid-back live music and good vibes. Enjoy performances by Crow, Etta Dean, and Rue Badly.
A Boy Named Crow has worn many hats, from wildland firefighter to arborist to small business owner. More recently he has taken to writing and performing original folk and alt-country songs, attempting to capture both the grandeur and minutiae of modern life. He takes inspiration from Bob Dylan, Jason Molina, Bruce Springsteen, and Elliott Smith.
Formally known as Ruby Doobie, Etta Dean found her style after playing music under the name of her great, great, great-grandmother, Etta G. Dean. She embodies folk-horror, blending familial stories with fiction in order to evoke what has been buried in the past, akin to a musical necromantic ritual.
Grown from the desert soil in the high mountains of New Mexico, Rue Badly is the moniker of indie-folk songwriter Wyatt Granger, currently based in Portland, OR. With a name spooned from a character in To Kill a Mockingbird, Rue Badly writes ethereal, tender and sometimes off-putting folksy wonder from the points of view belonging to characters trying to figure what the hell is actually going on.
