The Hostel Café, in Portland’s historic Northwest neighborhood, is a casual restaurant and pub serving classic American fare with locally produced coffee, beer, and wine.  Offering healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner plates, The Hostel Café draws on culinary traditions and ingredients native to Oregon.  

In 1998, we opened our small 36 bed hostel. Over the years, we have grown from
that original building, to a village of 5 buildings, all in the same block. Each
building has its own character and special features with most built in the late
1800’s. You’ll find common areas, outdoor gardens and courtyard, 2 kitchens to
prepare your own meals, 32 private rooms and 160 dorm beds in small dorms. In
the spring of 2017 we completed construction of our 5th building, designed and
built from the ground up! Here we added the final touch to our hostel, the Hostel
Café!
The Hostel Café is a place for our world travelers to experience a variety of
American classic meals and sample Pacific NW brews on tap. It’s a place where
travelers and the local community can intermingle: the neighborhoods common
room! A place where travelers get to know one another, share stories and learn of
life in another land. A place where the world gets a whole lot smaller! We hope
the Hostel Café touches your life in a special way!!
